Parish Education Committee (PEC). Subdivided into 2 groups: –
1. Parish Education Committee – Schools
2. Parish Education Committee – Zones

VISION
To manifest God’s love through serving, guiding and leading Catholic Schools in the Parish of St. Michael’s Penampang empowered by a dynamic system of care, education and training steeped in the Catholic faith.

MISSION
With the guidance of the Parish Priest, collaborate and work as a team with the Board of Governors of Mission Schools, in building, maintaining, enhancing and preserving mission schools in providing Christian quality education.

OBJECTIVES

Objective 1
To support the Parish of St. Michael Penampang on all issues related to education.

Objective 2
To collaborate and work with the Education Commission/Committee  of the Archdiocese (AEC/AECEC) on all relevant educational matters affecting the Parish and take action where necessary in cooperation with such committees to resolve these matters by negotiating with the appropriate authorities.

Objective 3
To ensure the proper faith formation of Catholic students.

Objective 4
To ensure that the English language is actively practiced in mission kindergartens and promote the use of the Kadazan language.

Objective 5
To collect and disseminate information on matters pertaining to Catholic education in the Parish.

Objective 6
To establish and maintain effective contact and dialogue with the Board of Governors in mission schools on matters of common interest.

Objective 7
To maximize the percentage of children in the Parish of St. Michael’s Penampang, especially those in remote areas in the Parish, to have access and/or attachment to quality education.

Objective 8
Encourage enhancements and promote value added to services provided by mission kindergartens, primary school and secondary school in the Parish.
