Woori Jib 6th Anniversary with Multiple Celebrations

Potuki, Putatan, Nov 27, 2022…There has been a multiple celebrations to highlight the 6^th year of the Korean orphanage home formally known as ‘Hamin Tokou’ since its inception in 2016.

The celebrations also include birthday joys of Korean Priests in-charge Rev. Fr. Lawrence Kim and Rev. Andrew Kim whom earlier celebrated the Eucharistic Mass which also as thanksgiving for 24 students who had prior received their sacrament of initiation of Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation at the open hall St. Francis Xavier Church.      

Rev. Fr. Lawrence Kim in his speech praising the Lord that the home is now having the highest number of 17 less privileged  students inhabiting the centre ranging from the ages of 7 to 17 years. He explained that Woori Jib is now growing with lots of love and helps even from Korea, USA and Singapore apart from Sabah.   

On the other note,  Rev. Fr. Andrew Kim thanking the faithful especially the people of Potuki for their undivided support and assistance all these while for without them, it would be impossible for Woori Jib to be what it is now. He is seeking for their continuous prayers to both of them as their priests and the home well being that people may be able to celebrate its existence and successes for many-many years to come and for the next generations until it is historically recorded in the future. 

Sunday school students not only presented with certificates of their respective Sacrament of Initiation but was rewarded with special gifts to individuals having outstanding disciplines namely to Princess Likey Bianis(Excellent class attendance), Donovan Ariston(Active participation in class) and to siblings Fayonna & Fellyrina Indilis(Hardworking in Homework Completion).     

Meanwhile organizing Chairman Nemisius Valentine during the fellowship inviting all people including faithful in St. Michael’s Penampang parish to come and support this coming community event of  Awareness, Inspection And Tooth Hygene Program (Program, Kesedaran, Pemeriksaan dan Pembersihan Gigi) with various other programs organized by Caritas Paroki Penampang in collaboration with the Health Department on the 03 December 2022 (Saturday) starting from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon here at Woori Jib, Potuki. ..JJ/SoccomPenampang
